Who wrote the love letter on Cherry blossoms?

Spring last year, in love at first sight of you,

returns the cherry blossoms, just to have the same sight upon you.

My 8 years old son learned this poetry and wasn't quite convinced with the

explanation of “personification”.

I tried to give him a better explanation on that grammatical technique,

but he keeps on telling that is wrong.

“ Personification is putting un-man kind objects to be man-like, right?

But it is YHWH, our creator, that loves a lot

and trying to tell us how much He Loves us

by making cherry blossoms bloom pretty, right?

So cherry blossoms are “media” or “ idea” of His Love, not men.”

去年（こぞ）の春　逢えりし君に　恋にてし

桜の花は、迎えけらしも

学校で万葉集の和歌を習った息子（三年生）

プロの歌人を母に持つ息子にとって、和歌・俳句の勉強は

ちょっとプレッシャーかもと思いながらも、

早速「光の子」としての力を発揮しました。

この万葉集の歌は詠み人が知れないですが、女性であることは間違いないですね。

去年の春、あなた様にひと目で恋をした桜が

またお会いしたくて咲いています…。

そういう歌です。

息子はこれを学習して「間違ってる！」と主張。

私は額面通り、「それは擬人法という表現方法で…」

息子「だから、擬人法が間違いなの！」

私「あなたよりもお勉強をした人に口答えするのは、やめなさ…」

息子「ぎじんほうって、人に置き換えてるんでしょう？違うんだよ。

僕たちのことが大好きで桜を綺麗に咲かせたのは、ヤッウェ様なんだもの。

桜のお手紙を書いたのは聖霊様なんだよ。」

ぐぅの音も出ません…　恐れ入りました。
